WISMEC PREDATOR 228W TC VW APV BOX MOD KIT

This week we take a look at the lastest counter to the Smok Alien kit, The Wismec Predator 228W. Here are some things you need to know. Wismec Predator 228W kit is made by Wismec. Popularly known for outsourcing its vaping designs to a US-based company named Sinuous Designs, Wismec manufactures all its vaping kits in China and aims to use constant research and cutting-edge technology to provide a magnificent vaping experience for its customers.

That said, the kit comes with a Predator 228 Mod, Elabo Sub-Ohm Tank, Triple 0.2W Head, NS Triple 0.25W Head, and QC USB Cable along with a warning card and two user manuals. For those who are very concerned about the color of their vaping kit, Wismec Predator 228W has five colors which you can choose from – gold, silver, white, black, and red.

THE PREDATOR 228 MOD

The perfect word to describe the Predator 228 Mod is awesome. The chassis of this mod is made of zinc alloy, and its length, breadth, and height are 43.6mm, 29mm and 86.7mm respectively. The Predator 228 Mod has a wattage range of 1-228W. At the top of this mod is the 510 spring connector; at the front of the Predator 228 Mod is where you will find the 0.96-inch OLED screen and the micro USB port.

The battery slot, which can accommodate dual replaceable 18650 cells, can also be found on the bottom of the mod. And as expected, the fire buttons can found at both sides of the Predator 228 Mod. With this amazing mod, you can adjust your output mode to TC and VW mode and alter your temperature range in TC modes to 200-600oF. Wismec claims that this mod can give users a 2A quick charge and that it can be used as a power bank and to charge other electronic gadgets as well.

THE ELABO SUB-OHM TANK

The length of the Elabo Sub-Ohm Tank is 52.8mm and its diameter is 25mm. This tank has an e-liquid capacity of 4.9ml if you are using it with a Triple 0.2W Head (40-80W) and a capacity of 4.6ml if you want to use it with an NS Triple 0.25W Head (40-120W). To fill the atomizer tank with any e-liquid, all you need to do is to pull up the mouthpiece and then push the top cap out. Even though unplugging the mouthpiece of this device is somewhat inconvenient, it is not a great con in our opinion. Lest we forget, the Elabo also has adjustable air flow inlets, which you can manipulate by turning the airflow control ring to get massive vapor clouds.

THE PRONS AND CONS OF THE WISMEC PREDATOR 228

While some people think the Wismec Predator 228 is better than the Smok Alien, some believe otherwise. In any case, before you decide which one is the best, here are the pros and cons of the Wismec Predator 228.

PROS

  • Amazing body design
  • Upgradable firmware.
  • Good adjustable airflow

CONS

  • No extra glass tank
  • Other standard 510 drip tips do not fit properly into the Elabo

BOTTOM LINE

We think Wismec has done a very good job overall. The design and the colors of the Wismec Predator 228 are simple and elegant. Even though the OLED screen is somewhat very small, we still believe that this vaping device is a good contender to what you can currently find in the market when looking for starter kits. We also like the fire buttons as they are very easy to click. Our only recommendations for Wismec is that they should work on the 510 drip tip so that vapers can replace it with other standard ones if they like. We will also advise them to put an additional glass tank so that they can compete very well with other great vaping kits out there.
